Privacy Policy
What we collect when you use this site, why we collect it, who processes it on our behalf, and how to get it removed.

Who we are
RemoteAugment ([registered business address]) is the controller of the personal information described in this policy. For anything relating to your data, write to contact@remoteaugment.com.
Where we build or run software for a client, that client is the controller of the data inside their system and we act as their processor. This policy covers our own website and enquiries only, not the systems we deliver.
What we collect
When you send an enquiry
Our enquiry form asks for your name, work email, company, phone number, and your message. If you arrived from a specific role or service, we record which one so the reply is relevant. All of it is information you type yourself.
When you create an account
Signing in to the portal stores your name, email address, and a hashed password, plus anything you later add to your profile.
When you just read the site
Our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, browser, requested page, timestamp) for security and reliability. Our analytics are aggregate and cookieless: we can see that a page was viewed, not who viewed it.
Spam protection
The enquiry form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which inspects browser signals and your IP address to tell a person from a bot. Turnstile does not profile you or track you across sites.
Why we use it
- To answer your enquiry and follow up about the work you asked about.
- To create and secure your account, if you have one.
- To keep the site available and defend it against abuse.
- To understand, in aggregate, which pages are useful.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your enquiry to add you to a marketing list without asking you first.
Our legal basis
If you are in the UK, EU, or another region with similar law, we rely on legitimate interests to respond to enquiries, keep the site secure, and measure it in aggregate; on contract to operate an account you asked for; and on consent where we ask for it, which you can withdraw at any time.
Who else processes it
We use a small number of providers, each handling data only to deliver their service to us:
- Vercel, for website hosting and aggregate analytics.
- Resend, to deliver enquiry emails to our inbox.
- Cloudflare, for the Turnstile spam check on our forms.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to establish or defend a legal claim.
Cookies and local storage
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The site stores your cookie banner choice in your browser's local storage so it stops asking, and sets a session cookie if you sign in to the portal. Clearing your browser storage removes both.
International transfers
Our providers operate globally, so your information may be processed outside your country. Where that happens from the UK or EEA, transfers are covered by the provider's standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard.
How long we keep it
Enquiries stay in our inbox and records for as long as the conversation is live and for a reasonable period afterwards, so we can pick up where we left off. Account data is kept until you ask us to close the account. Server logs are short-lived. Ask us to delete any of it sooner and we will.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us for a copy of your information, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or receive it in a portable format. You can also complain to your local data protection authority. Email contact@remoteaugment.com and we will act on it. We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.
Children
This site is for business use and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their information.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, passwords are hashed, and access to enquiry data is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so we do not claim otherwise.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and the date at the top. Material changes will be flagged on the site.
Contact
Questions, requests, or complaints: contact@remoteaugment.com, or through our contact page. See also our Terms of Service.
